Peggy Eisenhauer is the founder of Privacy & Information Management Services, and leader of the PIMS global privacy and information management practice. She was identified as one of the Top 25 American Privacy Law Consultants by COMPUTERWORLD in March 2006 and again in October 2007. Peggy's practice focuses on privacy, security and fair information practices. She works with companies in all industries to develop and implement policies and procedures governing the collection, use and distribution of consumer, customer and employee records. In addition to traditional compliance work, Ms. Eisenhauer also represents information services companies before various regulatory bodies, participates in hearings on privacy topics, provides external privacy assessment services and conducts privacy and security training programs. Prior to founding PIMS, she was the founder and head of the Hunton & Williams LLC privacy and information management practice. She has also served as General Counsel and Director, Data Acquisition for Information America, Inc. (now Westlaw Public Records). She is a frequent speaker and author on privacy and security topics.
She is a member of the International Association of Privacy Professionals (IAPP), and she serves on the IAPP’s Certified Information Privacy Professional Program Advisory Board. She is a Fellow of the Ponemon Institute Responsible Information Management (RIM) Counci.
